Our breeding males are selected with the objective of strengthening the breed with two goals in mind. The first goal is healthy dogs. We participate in all the standard in-depth medical exams and monitoring to confirm and track strong healthy dogs. But in addition to that we are also very focused on breeding dogs that demonstrate strong therapy dog traits that will help provide for the needs of people in need of a therapy dog as a companion.
Rusty
Rusty, a charming little gentleman, radiates a joy that’s contagious and a bit timid. His coat, a lustrous shade of red, flows with a subtle wave that catches the light, giving him a regal yet approachable appearance. He’s a gentle companion, always by your side, sharing in life’s adventures with unwavering loyalty. His zest for life shines brightest when he’s accompanying you on car rides, with eager eyes. But perhaps his most endearing quality is his love for bringing smiles to children’s faces, making school visits a highlight of his day. Mitral valve disease shortens more Cavalier lives than anything else, and most health claims in this breed rest on a vet listening to the heart for a moment. Rusty’s is an advanced cardiac, which includes an echocardiogram read by a specialist. Ask every breeder you speak to whether theirs is advanced or basic.
What Rusty has not had: an eye certification, or an MRI for syringomyelia. We would rather write that down than let an impressive panel imply a complete one.
